What to Expect When You Visit
Are You Thinking About Visiting?
Visiting a new church can feel overwhelming—we understand! Our goal is to help you feel comfortable, prepared, and encouraged from the moment you arrive. Whether you’re wondering what to wear or how our children’s check-in system works, we’re here to make your first visit simple and stress-free.

What Makes Spicewood Baptist Church Unique?
Spicewood Baptist Church is a close-knit, Christ-centered community. God’s Word is at the heart of all we do—through worship, Sunday School for all ages, Wednesday Bible study, and Pastor Ed Kennedy’s verse-by-verse preaching.
We believe in building strong relationships that provide support in difficult times, encouragement for everyday life, and accountability for spiritual growth.
Our church family is also mission-minded—locally and around the world—through church planting, supporting missionaries, and serving our community. With a strong emphasis on family discipleship, we encourage parents to practice and teach the faith at home through prayer, worship, and Bible study.
What to Wear
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Some people dress in their Sunday best, while others choose jeans and casual wear. Jesus won’t judge your clothes—and neither will we!
What to Expect in Worship
Our worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. and typically lasts about an hour.
You’ll experience a blend of timeless hymns and newer worship songs, prayer, Scripture reading, and a verse-by-verse message from the Bible.
Families worship together at the start of the service. After that, elementary-age children are invited to SBC Kids’ Church, a fun and Christ-centered time just for them. Preschool-age worship care is available for children not yet in kindergarten.
