What the Heavens Declare: God’s Revelation to the World - Psalm 19:1-6 - Ed Kennedy - April 12, 2026
Sermon Synopsis
In this message, we begin a new focus in our long journey of developing a biblical worldview by examining the lens itself—the Bible. Before we can clearly interpret life, we must first understand whether Scripture is a trustworthy and authoritative guide.
Starting in Psalm 19, this sermon highlights how God has already revealed Himself through creation. The heavens, the sky, the rhythm of day and night—all continuously declare His glory, power, wisdom, and character. This “natural revelation” is constant, universal, and unmistakable—reaching every person without language barriers or limitations.
The key question, however, is not whether God has revealed Himself—but how we respond. As Romans 1 reminds us, humanity often sees this revelation yet fails to honor God or give Him thanks.
This message challenges us to look up, recognize God’s clear self-revelation, and respond rightly—with worship, gratitude, and lives that reflect His glory.
Even in difficult seasons, we can confidently praise God—not because life is easy, but because He has brought us to “born again” in a new family and a new future. This inheritance is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, securely kept for us in heaven.
The resurrection is the foundation of it all. Through it, we receive mercy instead of judgment, hope instead of fear, and eternal life instead of uncertainty. The question remains: Have you placed your faith in Christ and received this living hope?
