Spicewood Baptist Church has been a part of the Spicewood community since 1908 — over 110 years of faith, fellowship, and service. Long before a building was ever built, people gathered here on this very spot to worship together. The first chapel building continues to welcome families to worship today.

A Rich Heritage

Some of our cherished long-time members still remember when the church had no electricity, plumbing, or air conditioning. Through the decades, we’ve grown and adapted, blending the deep roots of multi-generational families with the fresh perspectives of newcomers who now call Spicewood home.

Our Purpose & Vision

Spicewood Baptist Church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ, rooted in Spicewood, Texas. Since 1908, we have gathered with one purpose: to know and make Him known.

We exist to share the transforming grace of God—with one another, throughout our community, and around the world. We do this by clearly proclaiming the Good News of Jesus and the salvation He offers, faithfully teaching the Bible as the Word of God, serving our neighbors through outreach and care ministries, and engaging in missions across the U.S. and globally.
